Marriage licence/certificate or Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (if applicable)
Representative Submission Letter (to be provided by YCI before submission)
Use of Representative Form IMM5476 (to be provided by YCI before submission)
Travel History (if applicable, such as boarding passes)
Educational documents β all mark sheets, certificates and achievements since 10th grade
Immigration Medical Exam β (Required for most countries including India, Pakistan, China)
Employment Documents
Applicable if you have employment history. Please share as many as you have. The list is broad to cover common scenarios.

Salary Slips past 6 months (if currently employed)
Current Resume
Letter from employer confirming position, salary and length of employment and/ or employment contract. (If currently employed)
Financial Documents
You can include financial documents for both the applicant and dependents regardless if dependents are applying together or not. For example, if you have married and have savings and income under spouse name, savings in children’s name, you can include all those too.
Account Statements for 6 months
Investments like Fixed Deposits (FDs), Bonds, Stocks
Savings and Investments in Childrenβs Name (if applicable)
GIC balance of student spouse in Canada (if applicable)
Rental Income Proof (if applicable)
Income Tax Filing Documents (3 years recommended)
Net Worth Certificate
Property Valuation (Not applicable if obtaining a net worth certificate)
Financial Sponsor Documents
Example parents, siblings or in-laws, if they are financially supporting you for this application.
Gift Deed or Financial Support Affidavit
Bank Statements

Proof of funds transfer if funds are already transferred to Applicant’s or Dependent’s account
Net Worth Certificate (for parents/in-laws it can be joint with the Applicant)

If the Host Spouse in Canada is – Skilled Worker
Starting January 30, 2023, family members of most foreign workers can apply for an open work permit. A few exceptions may apply to family members of low-skilled workers: i. the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program and ii. the Agricultural Stream of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
Work Permit or Acknowledge of Receipt (AoR) of PGWP application submission
Letter of Employment confirming job, income and job responsibilities for NOC review
Salary Slips (4 to 6, if available)
Dependents Documents
Applicable when you are applying with dependent spouse and/or children
Dependent Children
Definition of Dependent Child under section 2 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations:
(i) is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner, or
(ii) is 22 years of age or older and has depended substantially on the financial support of the parent since before attaining the age of 22 years and is unable to be financially self-supporting due to a physical or mental condition.
